Paula Patton is an actress and producer who is best known for her starring roles in the action film Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the romantic film Precious. She was born into a middle-class household in Los Angeles, she harboured huge dreams when she was a kid. Her parents were a loving mom who loved watching movies. Paula was a fan of school co-curricular activities and was particularly fond of drama. She was a huge fan of acting with her friends and participated in school's stage shows. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School's Hamilton Magnet Arts High School was the location of numerous school plays. She decided to become an actor. She was enrolled at the University of Southern California in the summer program, and was awed by her experience. The program gave her a three month assignment to make documentary films for PBS. As soon as she completed the assignment in three months the first task was to work in production for television documentaries. Then, she switched to producing documentaries. The work was enjoyable however, she always wanted to become an actor. She started her acting career by playing a minor role on the movie romantic comedy Hitch, alongside Will Smith. In the years since, she has been on many TV and film series.
